Online Continuing Medical Education: Programs and Courses

This section offers a comprehensive listing of Continuing Medical Education Courses that are mostly Category I or II (AMA) or (AOA), with the vast majority being free of charge. Medical Web Sites that do not offer CME are listed here.

Some of these sites will require a user to register first. Some will only require a user name and Email address, while a few ask for more extensive information. If such requests concern you, a visit to the site's Privacy Policy page should tell what the owner's of the site will do with the information you give them. This might include a free newsletter with updates about the site, but could also include selling your personal information to others. Be careful of sites where you can not find the privacy policy. We have not enrolled for actual courses on these sites: we have only visited most of the listings. Please send us the address of CME sites if problems occur when you visit a site from the list. Have you found sites that should be listed here? If so, please send us the address.

The index below lists the subject, site name, or sponsoring agency for a CME Program. For example, since the site for Postgraduate Medicine covers a variety of topics, it is listed under general medicine. The AAPA is listed under A, as the organization is familar to most of our users.

The Catagories of General Medicine and Primary Care contain the bulk of the listings. Listing whose review is not followed by a date and initials have not yet been reviewed by our staff.
