The rule changes listed to the right concern extending coverage to PAs who provide screening flexible sigmoidoscopies, changes in "Incident to" billing by PA independent contractors, and coverage of rural/underserved telecommunication for outpatient services by PAs. As of this writing, if these proposed rule changes are approved, they will go into effect on January 1, 2002.
