This section organizes
information about health insurance companies and government agencies that
reimburse for office visits.
Do you have information
to share about reimbursement for clinical services? This would include
references for coding level of service, regional Medicare and Medicaid
decisions
and rules, national Workman's Compensation Carrier information, and commercial
payers, such as Blue Cross Blue Shield. If so, please contact
us for information on submitting
information for consideration.
Tricare
Please follow this link to information concerning Tricare,
at the Tricare site, or on this
site. Tricare is the military insurance program for active, reserve,
guard, defendants, and retired personnel.
This
page serves as an introduction to how medical providers can request
an application, and submit a request to become an approved provider. Military
families tend to be stable and directed, and are usually excellent patients.
Payment for services is usually made without delay; of Tricare Standard,
Tricare Prime, and Tricare for Life, the Tricare Prime is an HMO, and
referrals can be as difficult as any HMO.
When a servicemember
or their families become eligible for Medicare, they must sign up for
Medicare part B to be enrolled in Tricare. Tricare always serves as the
secondary payer, and so covers the patient's copays and deductibles.
Please consider
allowing servicemembers with Tricare to join your practice. It is the
least we can do to honor their service to their country.
